Blu (played by Jesse Eisenberg, The Social Network) is a domesticated Spix Macaw captured as a young bird from his native Brazil and now living thousands of miles away from his homeland. When his human owner Linda (Leslie Mann, 17 Again) discovers that he is the very last male of his kind, the pair head south to meet the only other female in Rio de Janeiro.  But it's far from love at first sight between the socially-awkward, flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel (Anne Hathaway, The Princess Diaries). Soon after Blu arrives, the two rare birds are captured by greedy animal smugglers and find themselves lost in the Brazilian rainforest. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on a hilarious and clumsy adventure where they learn about friendship, love, courage and spreading one's wings to fly.

Fun Freebie: Get the Rio coloring app for FREE on Android Market and iTunes App Stores. You can draw and fill colors with your fingers. Save your finished paintings to your device's photo gallery and print them right from within the app. You can even email your creations to family and friends or share them on Facebook. The app includes two characters and one background for coloring. Once the Rio Blu-ray is released on Aug. 2, the insert included will unlock an additional 10 characters and 4 backgrounds.
