Hillshire Farm Grilled Chicken Breast Review and Reader Giveaway

When it's too hot to cook, ready-cooked meats can make meal preparation a lot easier.  Hillshire Farm recently introduced Grilled Chicken Breast. These are fire grilled, pre-cooked, perfectly seasoned chicken breasts that are ready to use. The also contain no preservatives! Four flavors are available:

  • Hillshire Farm Grilled Chicken Breast, Garlic & Herb
  • Hillshire Farm Grilled Chicken Breast, Italian Style
  • Hillshire Farm Grilled Chicken Breast, Lemon Pepper
  • Hillshire Farm Grilled Chicken Breast, Original Grilled
Another plus is that they are 97% fat free with only 1.5 g fat and 120 calories per serving - think easy diet food!

They come individually packaged with two in a box.  Since they are each sealed individually, you can easily prepare just one for a solo meal.  To heat it, you just remove it from the packaging, place on a microwave-safe plate and heat for one minute.  (More or less depending on the power of your microwave.)

While this could be eaten just straight on a bun as a chicken sandwich, I have found it makes cooking chicken dishes very easy.  I simply dice it up to use in pasta dishes, rice dishes, quesadillas, etc.  I like Hillshire Farm Grilled Chicken Breast much more than I anticipated.  I usually don't like pre-cooked chicken products, but these taste so fresh and basically like I had cooked it myself and just refrigerated for later use.

Reader Giveaway:  Two lucky Thrifty Jinxy readers will each win 4 coupons for FREE Hillshire Farm Grilled Chicken Breast - that's enough to try all four flavors.  To enter, just fill out the form below by 11:59 pm ET on 7/14/12.
